Compensation and Schedule for the Medical Assistant 
Medical Assistant – Full-time, onsite, $20-$23 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a great team in a productive environment!  

Required Qualifications of the Medical Assistant 
- 3+ years of recent medical assistant experience required  
- Recent orthopedics experience highly preferred 
- 
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred  
- Medical Assistant diploma or certification required  
- Orthopedic Tech certification preferred 
- High school diploma or GED required  
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen  

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant 
- Obtain vitals and patient history 
- 
Document chief complaint  
- 
Assist physicians, residents, and licensed nursing personnel 
- 
Alert physician of problems/concerns/abnormalities 
- 
Perform casting, splinting, traction application, and various soft good applications 
- Work with providers, residents, nurse practitioners, and nurses to coordinate ongoing orthopedic needs 
- 
Help with wound care, examinations, treatments and procedures as requested 
- 
Retrieve necessary equipment and supplies 
- 
Complete full patient registration  
- 
Verify eligibility  
- 
Conduct front desk duties as needed
