Compensation and Schedule for the Referral Clerk/Admin Assistant
Referral Clerk/Admin Assistant – Full-time, onsite, $18-$21 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Great opportunities for growth and additional training!
Required Qualifications of the Referral Clerk/Admin Assistant
- 1+ years of recent medical office, neurology practice, or healthcare call center experience required
- Recent medical referrals, prior authorization, and insurance verification experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with ICD-10/CPT coding preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Responsibilities of the Referral Clerk/Admin Assistant
- Coordinate, process, and schedule medical referrals and prior authorizations
- Support clinic providers when setting up new patients or transferring patients to new locations
- Answer phones
- Reschedule appointments and handle recalls
- Provide front desk support as needed
