Compensation and Schedule for the Medical Assistant 
Medical Assistant – Full-time, onsite, $20-$23 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Great team, communication, and culture! 

Required Qualifications of the Medical Assistant 
- 
2+ years of recent medical assistant experience required 
- 
3+ years of recent medical assistant experience highly preferred 
- 
Recent gastroenterology experience highly preferred 
- 
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred 
- 
Medical Assistant diploma or certification required 
- 
High school diploma or GED required 
- 
Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen 

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant 
- 
Handle prior authorizations and incoming faxes 
- 
Request patient medical records 
- 
Prep charts 
- 
Call patients to schedule appointments  
- 
Room patients and obtain vitals 
- 
Complete patient paperwork and medication refill authorizations 
- 
Check MA voicemail lines and complete patient callbacks 
- 
Work with providers to address patient concerns
